We're Officially Bloggers!

After several requests, we have decided to officially join the blogging world. This way, no one ever has to wonder how exciting our lives really are - there will finally be concrete evidence. The potty training, the addition of solid foods to the baby's diet, and the many hours spent watching Playhouse Disney will no longer be a mystery.

We are well into summer and have been keeping busy. Scott spent much of June traveling, mostly for work. He was in Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New York and New Orleans. In addition, he went to San Diego for Father's Day with his dad and two brothers to see the U.S. Open. Yes, he did get extremely close to Tiger Woods; close enough to determine that Tiger is in fact, not human. I think it inspired him to get out and golf a little more. While he was gone, my parents came out for a visit. They claim that they wanted to see me, but we all know it was to get some hugs from their grandsons. We had a great time, in spite of my Dad's bad cold. Somehow my mom and I managed to fit in some shopping, and as always, spent more than we should. Of course, as I always tell Scott, it's okay because everything was on sale. The boys loved wrestling with their Grandpa Ray and getting a little spoiled. It was a lot of fun and we wish we could see them more often.

As a result of all of Scott's traveling, we spent the week of the 4th of July catching up on some quality family time. We hit the pool, the aquarium, the zoo, and a number of yummy barbeques with friends and family. We have been enjoying every minute of summer.

Miles is becoming quite the young man, and is a wonderful big brother. The other day, he looked down at his brother and said, "I like you Tatie. You are a very special baby." They are really cute together and make each other laugh. Miles just got a train table, and spends every possible minute wrapped up in Thomas and his friends (although Gordon is his favorite). He is learning to ride bikes and scooters and still gets lost in his books. As always, he is a big fan of all things garbage - garbage cans, garbage trucks, and the entire process from beginning to end. I really enjoy talking with him. He is so bright and funny.

Tate is growing up so fast and we can't keep up with him. He is crawling everywhere, including up the stairs, and is itching to run wild with his big brother. Tate is eating anything and everything he can get his hands on, and making a lovely mess in the process. He is also learning how to dance (really more bopping up and down, but cute nonetheless) and has got quite the moves - like father, like son. Tate is a lot of fun, and full of personality. I have a feeling his big smile and deep dimples will get him out of a lot of trouble.

I hope this catches everyone up on all of the latest happenings in our wild and crazy lives. We will post again soon. Hope all is well with each of you.

Miles must get his love of all things garbage from his father. . . I know it is not from his garbage man-fearing mama :) The photos are fabulous.

PS I would think about limiting their time with Aunt Heidi. They can probably come up with enough ideas to get themselves in trouble without her influence.
