Running Behind

Since I haven't really posted much since Christmas, I figure I am long overdue. Here are a few of the highlights from the past couple of months.

Scott kept up his traveling ways and continued to win friends and influence people along the way. On a recent trip to Vegas, he met comedy duo Penn and Teller, and got a rare opportunity to meet former President Bill Clinton who was the keynote speaker at the conference.

Miles has been taking swimming lessons with his friend Cambria. Scott spends his time chasing Tate around the pool to try and keep him from getting wet.

Miles' preschool class went on a tour of Sweet's Candy Factory. It was fun to see how so many favorite candies were made, although Miles was so nervous about having an allergic reaction that he refused to sample anything that was offered to him. Tate, on the other hand, sampled plenty of items, making a big candy mess and almost getting us kicked out because he refused to keep his hair net on during the tour.

We went to the aquarium several times simply to get out of the house and beat the winter blues. We were very fortunate to have Grandma Kaye join us on one of the outings. One particular highlight occurred next to the shark tank. Miles saw several blue and yellow fish swimming amongst the sharks and couldn't resist shouting to the sharks, "Eat the fish! Eat Dori!"

Miles got to go skiing with his Dad for the first time and had a blast.

He also just completed the qualifications for his phoenix patch in karate.

Oh, how he loves having his picture taken.:)

Last week, I got to accompany Miles and his preschool class on their field trip to Macey's grocery story. We enjoyed getting to see all of the behind the scenes action.

I also got a surprise visit from my Mom this past weekend. It provided just the boost that I needed and the boys couldn't get enough of her. They followed her all over the house and monopolized as much of her time as they possibly could. We miss her already and are looking forward to her next visit.
