Fun with Friends

We recently returned from a fun friends trip to San Diego. Three couples, plus one car, plus many hours on the road equals a lot of laughs and never ending entertainment. We spent the first night in Las Vegas to break up the drive a bit and had a great time hanging by the pool. The rest of the time in San Diego was filled with movies, dinners, numerous sports, shopping and many hours at the beach. Scott took the opportunity to be as active as possible. I took daily walks and went on a leisurely kayak ride, but mostly took advantage of my 6 month pregnant belly and its desire to sit on the beach and read. To each his own.:)

Looking forward to doing it again next year. It was really nice to get away with my husband and wonderful friends to unwind.

Cousin Campout

Last night, Miles and Tate had three of their cousins (Mitchell, Alex and Ian) come over for a camp out in the backyard. They all had such a great time. The evening started with a fun barbecue, followed by the boys all playing basketball over at a local school. They returned to eat popcorn while watching a movie in the tent. This morning, my cute husband got up and made the boys a pancake breakfast and then the cousins headed outside to enjoy some time on the trampoline. They all want to know when they can do it again.:)

Gateway

Yesterday, we went with a group of friends to Gateway Mall. First, we checked out Clark Planetarium where they all had a blast walking on their version of the moon and Mars. After, we headed over to the fountains to cool off from the heat. Miles had a nice time, but Tate wanted nothing to do with getting splashed by cold, random bursts of water and spent his time hanging on the sidelines with me. I am starting to think my kids lead a pretty posh life.:)

For the Love of Reading

The other day I took the boys to the library to check out some books. I couldn't resist taking this darling picture of the boys all snuggled in and engrossed in their new books. You can't tell from the picture, but Miles is reading a book about military airplanes. Like father, like son. . .
