May Memories

Well, another month has sped by, and it was filled with many fun memories. Scott and I got to take a couples trip to San Diego. It was really nice to have some time together sans kids, and even nicer of my sister and dad to take care of the boys while we were away. My sis got the stomach flu and my dad stepped up to run the show. We are unbelievably grateful and, of course, forever indebted. Scott and I logged plenty of beach time, boogie boarding, playing beach volleyball and perfecting our tans. We saw a couple of movies, hit an amusement park and enjoyed a great kickoff to summer.

Miles and I picked a beautiful bouquet of lilacs from our backyard and got the mood lift we needed by bringing the warm weather indoors. Miles insisted we include some of our yellow flowers, also known as dandelions.

Miles became a superhero.

Tate became Mexican.

Miles participated in soccer at preschool sports.

Tate decided he wanted to participate as well.

Miles also started in a t-ball league where I am his personal coach. I am not sure who thought up the genius idea to get parents to pay to teach their own children to play baseball, but in spite of my personal objection to the method, I have enjoyed having the one on one time with him and have seen his skills improve.

Miles finished his first year of preschool with a teddy bear picnic at the park. They played games and put on a really cute program.

We love Miss Sue! Looking forward to another great year . . .

Our sweet neighbor gave the boys her children's old picnic table and they insisted on having lunch outdoors.

My mom came for a visit and the boys loved all of their time with Grandma Lana.

Miles has somehow managed to talk me into hitting every park in the greater Sandy/Draper area.

Tate insists on doing everything that his big brother does.

Ahhhh, looking forward to the lazy days of summer . . . .
